    Inventory and assessment

    What runs today, on what, with which dependencies and which licences involved. Out of this comes what migrates as-is, what gets redesigned and what is better left alone.

    Target design and cost estimate

    We define the cloud architecture and calculate what it will cost to run per month. That number comes before migrating, not after — it is the part that produces the most surprises when skipped.

    Migration in waves

    We start with the least critical workloads to validate the procedure with a safety net, and leave the core for when the path is already proven.

    Cutover and verification

    The change window is rehearsed beforehand, with a written rollback plan. After the cutover we verify behaviour and performance against what existed, not against an expectation.

    Optimization and handover

    The first weeks in the cloud always cost more than they should. We tune sizing, auto-scaling and reservations, and hand over the monitoring and documentation to run it.

If your load is steady and predictable and you already own amortized hardware, migrating can cost more to run — the cloud wins when demand varies, not always. If you depend on licences tied to a physical machine or on specific hardware, the saving evaporates. What people usually ask us.

How long does a cloud migration take?

A tightly scoped migration usually runs 4 to 10 weeks; a large infrastructure with legacy dependencies, months. The initial inventory is what sets the real timeline, which is why we do not quote a migration without it.

Can we roll back if something goes wrong?

Yes, and it is part of the plan. Each wave has its rollback point written and tested before the cutover. Migrating without that plan is what turns a technical problem into an operational outage.

What happens to our data?

It is migrated encrypted and integrity-checked before each wave is signed off. Where the data sits and who can access it is defined with you upfront, because it can carry legal implications depending on your sector.

Who operates the infrastructure afterwards?

You, your team, or us under a maintenance plan. What we do not leave behind is a cloud setup nobody knows how to run: we hand over monitoring, alerts and documentation, and if you prefer, we stay in charge.

Can you migrate without interrupting service?

Yes. We design the migration in phases to minimize or eliminate downtime; your operation keeps running throughout the process.
